This 1928 Spanish Colonial home was in severe disrepair, requiring a complete transformation throughout nearly every room. From the beginning, it was essential that each renovation honor the home’s original character while thoughtfully updating it for modern living. Every design decision was made to preserve the integrity, warmth, and timeless beauty of the home’s Spanish Colonial architecture.

The kitchen was completely reimagined to create a more open, functional, and inviting gathering space while remaining true to the home’s historic charm. Renovations included:

• Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create better flow and connection 
• Eliminating the exterior stairwell and an unused closet to maximize space and functionality 
• Installing heated flooring for added comfort and luxury 
• Designing custom cabinetry tailored to the home’s architecture and the client’s lifestyle 
• Adding quartz countertops and all-new appliances for a refined, modern finish 
• Incorporating ceiling beams to enhance the home’s original Spanish Colonial character 
• Installing large doors opening onto the deck to bring in natural light and create seamless indoor-outdoor living 
• Creating a custom banquette for comfortable, casual dining 
• Adding a discreet doggy door for convenience 
• Incorporating a large dining table to encourage gathering and entertaining
